♿ New on Streets of Baltimore: Frederick Avenue ADA Improvements We are making it safer and easier to walk along Frederick Avenue. We will rebuild sidewalks and ramps that are broken or do not meet ADA standards, add new crosswalks on both sides of the road, and update the traffic signals on new metal poles and mast arms. The work runs along Frederick Avenue from Brunswick Street to S. Smallwood Street in City Council District 9. This street has homes, shops, and bus stops, so safe sidewalks matter to a lot of people. 🚜 When a snow emergency hits Baltimore, most of the city is told to stay home. We go out so everyone else doesn't have to. Snow removal contractors, DOT crews, and first responders, working through the storm to keep the roads open for ambulances, hospitals, and the folks who can't. DOT just wrapped three sessions of Snow Removal Services Training for prospective contractors. Our team and the Mayor's Office of Small and Minority Business Advocacy and Development walked everyone through the bid process, M/WBE requirements, and what it takes to come in compliant from day one. When the next storm hits, they're on our team.
